Where we live…

In France, we speak French everywhere. France’s capital is Paris. Paris is a big city: it has 2 000 000 inhabitants. In Paris, there is one really famous monument : it is the Effeil tower.

The president of France is Nicolas Sarkozy, France is a republic. Our national anthem is ‘la marseillaise’.

France is bordered with Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxemburg and Italy. England also, but there is a sea between England and France. It is called The Channel, in French ‘La Manche’.

Malestroit is a French town, situated in the department of Morbihan and the region of Brittany.

The distance between Malestroit and the capital Paris is 430 kilometers.

Here is the City hall of Malestroit.

 

We also have a church.

 

Here is the center of Malestroit. It is a “flower city” because there are lots of flowers.

 

Malestroit is crossed by the ‘Nantes to Brest canal’. In summer there are boats going along the canal.

 

This is the Memorial of Malestroit. It honors the soldiers who died during the war.

 

We also have a cinema, this is the place where we watch movies.

 

And finally here is the public elementary school.

This part is the primary school.
