Why this blog ?

This blog is part of a project called ARTS : Apporter et Recevoir en Transmettant un Savoir : www.arts-nepal.jimdo.com

Its starting point was a meeting between the initiator of the project Enora Paugam, French, 22, and two English teachers from the Yves Coppens middle school in Malestroit (France), Mr Guillerme and Mr Primault. Enora Paugam will be working as a volunteer at the Victor Hugo Manjushree Vidyapith school in Chapali (Nepal) from september 2010 to january 2011 .

Wherever we are from, we all need to be aware of the world we live in. And the purpose of this blog is precisely to give students an insight into a new culture … It will hopefully help them discover a new way of life as it is lived in a far away region of the world by people of their age.

 How is it made ?

All of the articles are written by the students themselves : During Mr Guillerme’s and Mr Primault’s  English classes on the one hand and  Enora Paugam’s computing classes in Chapali on the other. As far as possible online publication is also made by students themselves on both sides. French students will post from their school while Nepali students will post from Kathmandu since the school of Chapali has no internet connection. When publication by the students themselves proves impossible, Mr Guillerme and Mr Primault in France and Enora Paugam in Nepal will post the articles.
